Cursé mis estudios universitarios en la Universidad de Puerto Rico, obteniendo en el 2012 el grado de Doctor en Filosofía con especialidad en Psicología Clínica, título reconocido por el National Academic Recognition Information Centre (NARIC-Vlaanderen) como equivalente a Doctor en Psícología. Asimismo, desde el 2016, soy miembro de la Comisión de Psicólogos de Bélgica.

Guiada por una ética que sostiene el compromiso de trabajo y el respeto a la singularidad de cada paciente,continúo dedicando mi formación a facilitar un espacio donde los sujetos puedan desplegar mediante su propia palabra tanto sus dificultades como su sufrimiento. Por tanto, este espacio clínico provee una oportunidad para trabajar confidencialmente y libre de prejuicios los aspectos más complejos de la vida, reconociendo la singularidad de casa historia y de cada conflicto y respetando el tiempo de cada cual.

Al separar un espacio de su vida cotidiana para indagar las causas de su malestar, el paciente tendría la posibilidad de empezar a cuidar de sí, lo que justamente le permitiría empezar a crear un margen de flexibilidad y libertad allí donde 'su realidad' le grita o le confirma que 'nada puede hacer o cambiar.' En otras palabras, la decisión de comenzar a 'trabajar su problemática de vida' ofrece al paciente la posibilidad de hacer algo diferente con lo que le ha tocado vivir.

Trabajo por cita previa con adultos y adolescentes en las modalidades de Terapia individual y psicoanalítica.

In 2012 I completed my studies at the University of Puerto Rico, where I obtained a Ph.D. in Philosophy with a specialization in Clinical Psychology. This degree has been recognized by the National Academic Recognition Information Centre (NARIC-Vlaanderen) as equivalent to a Ph.D. in Psychology, and I have been a member of the Belgian Commission of Psychologists since 2016.

Driven by an ethic which sustains my commitment to clinical work and respect for the singularity of each patient, I dedicate my clinical training to facilitate a clinical setting in which patients can display, with their own words, their difficulties and suffering. This setting provides an opportunity to address complex aspects of life and living in a confidential manner, free of judgment and prejudice, recognizing the singularity of each story and respecting individual tempos.

By taking the time to explore the causes of their difficulties and discomfort, patients may have the possibility of starting to take better care of themselves. This, in turn, could allow them to begin to create a certain degree of flexibility and liberty where ‘their reality’ appears to confirm that ‘there is nothing to be done or that nothing can change’. In other words, the decision to allow themselves the chance to begin to work on their individual struggles offers patients a chance to ‘do something different’ with ‘the cards they have been dealt’.
